Carolyn DeMiro, LPC
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with individuals and couples navigating complex relational trauma, developmental wounds, CPTSD, sex and love addiction, codependency, and enmeshment. My approach is grounded in a deep respect for the mind-body-brain connection and draws from a wellness-based lens that honors the whole person—body, mind, and nervous system.
I integrate neurofeedback into my practice and am currently completing board certification through BCIA. I offer both in-person and remote neurofeedback options to support nervous system regulation and trauma recovery. My clinical work is informed by Pia Mellody’s model of developmental immaturity, Dr. Dan Siegel’s Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), and somatic practices that support bottom-up healing. This means we begin in the body and nervous system, where trauma often resides, and build upward toward integration and lasting change.
In my work with couples, I support partners in rebuilding trust, navigating rupture, and creating secure, emotionally connected relationships. Whether in individual or relational work, I view healing as a process of reconnection—first with self, then with others.
I believe that real transformation begins when clients feel safe enough to explore their inner world with compassion and curiosity. Through psychoeducation and embodied practices, I support clients in tapping into their inherent wisdom, so they can move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-trust.
Whether we’re tending to early wounds, rebuilding from addiction, or expanding emotional regulation, my goal is to help you return to a sense of wholeness and your natural capacity to heal.
